Kinesio Taping

Kinesio Taping Certified Ft. Lauderdale Sports Chiropractor

Let Dr. Tartack use the Kinesio Taping method in conjunction with your chiropractic care to return you to your favorite activities. Dr. Tartack is a sports injury chiropractor whose passion is to return you to your healthiest state. He wants you to play golf without shoulder pain, swim without aching hips, dance without knee discomfort, and pass a football without hurting your back. Your body was made to be active and if pain is slowing you down, it is time for a change. Do not let Kinesio Tape be your last resort- try it first and feel the difference.

What is the Kinesio Taping Method?

The Kinesio Taping Method is a tool used for rehabilitating joint and muscles after an injury. Dr. Tartack who is certified in the Kinesio Taping Method, will assess your condition and then apply the tape in a particular pattern. Most often, the application resembles a capital "I", "X" or "Y", but some areas require different applications. The taping does not prevent your natural range of motion, yet it supports your weakened muscles and joints so you can enjoy your favorite activities.

How Does it Work?

Dr. Tartack will adjust you so that your body is in an optimum state for circulation, healing and reduced inflammation. He will apply the tape to extend the benefits of his manipulations. The tape continues to hold the soft tissues in place and can be left on for days at a time. It is also latex-free. The tape reduces pain by lifting the skin and aiding in lymphatic drainage. The small space created by the tape raising the skin helps to lessen any inflammation, which also reduces your discomfort.

What is The Goal?

The ultimate goal of using Kinesio Taping is to re-train the body and the muscles to maintain a certain position. After an injury, your muscles shift in response to joint movement and taping helps you return to a healthier state. This increases circulation to the affected area, which improves your healing. When used in conjunction with Dr. Tartack's other sports rehabilitation techniques, you feel stronger when you return to playing sports.

What is Kinesio Tex Tape?

The Tex Tape is made of cotton fiber that has a 100-percent medical-grade adhesive, so it remains attached for three to five days even when you are moving. The wave pattern makes it flexible for your activities and it will not peel off as you are performing. It is applied in various directions to support your working muscles and reduce discomfort in the over-worked areas.

Who is Using Kinesio Tape?

You see Kinesio Tape on professional and amateur athletes to help them perform well without injuries, but you also see weekend warriors and daily fitness participants enjoying the benefits. Dr. Tartack applies the Kinesio Tape with personal attention and in the best way to support your body. He is a Ft. Lauderdale- based sport chiropractor who helps your body re-establish wellness so you are able to enjoy life.
